Breakfast at Cragwood…

Breakfast at Cragwood is generous and healthy, designed to set you up for a day on the fells or exploring Keswick and the surrounding villages.  All ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, with the season in mind.

Our Cumberland sausage and dry cured bacon come from pigs raised in the Cumbrian village of Wiggonby, with sausages made by hand at Keswick’s butchers, Thomasons.  Our black pudding is made in the next county by the family run award winning Real Lancashire Black Pudding Company.

Our free range eggs come from the happy chickens at Scales Farm in the nearby village of Embleton. Our milk and orange juice are delivered in glass bottles by the milkman and our fruit and vegetables are supplied by the independent family run grocer, Starfruits, in Penrith who source produce as locally as possible.

We aim to give you a good choice, with everything from fresh fruit pots, cereals, homemade rolled oat porridge and toast, to your pick of items from our full English breakfast.

We politely ask you to order breakfast the night before so we can keep our food waste to a minimum.

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available and clearly marked on our menu.  If you require a special diet, or have any allergies, please mention this to us when you book.

Flasks are filled for free.
